Wolves 0 - 0 United: What We Learnt As United Escpaed Another Wolves Bite

Manchester United failed to bounce back from their new year day slumber with a 0-0 draw against Wolves in the FA Cup; a rather unsurprising result following our recent struggles with Wolves.

Here's what #ManUtdNaijaFM learnt from the clash

1. SERGIO 'ODESHI' ROMERO
Manchester United may have coach problems, player problems, board problems, village problems, Robin Hood problems, but surely having an excellent backup goalkeeper isn't one.

Our deputy commander-in-chief of goal post forces, our ever reliable 'Power bank' goalkeeper Sergio 'Odeshi' Romero turned up with another excellent performance to see United walk out of Molineux with a clean sheet. The Argentine has now kept 6 clean sheets in 8 appearances this season.

2. STILL NO PLAN TO BREAK DOWN DEFENCES
Another day, another failed attempt to break down a tightly knit backline; no surprise as counter-attack is all the manager seems to have up his sleeves for every game.

No surprise yet again, United ended the game without a single shot on target in 90mins, with the closest they came to scoring being a deflected shot that struck the bar by substitute Marcus Rashford.

3. VACANCY! VACANCY! VACANCY!
This chorus cannot be echoed loud enough; Manchester United need creative midfielders! At this point, even if it's a loan, or 'bend-down select' creative midfielders, we will accept.

In the game, the only person seeming to make any attempts to play between the lines with his passes and forward strides was Nemanja 'Agu' Matic, an aging defensive midfielder who seems to only be getting game time due to the injuries to Paul 'Ikenna' Pogba and our 'Tom-Tom' midfielder, Scott McTominay nowhere.

4. THE KIDS GIVE THEIR BEST
Ole 'Ugonna' Solskjaer rang the changes to the United XI that collapsed at Arsenal a few days ago, and in the process named Mason Greenwood, Brandon Williams and Tahith Chong in United's starting XI.

The trio did their respective jobs to the best of their abilities, with Brandon Williams doing well to hold his ground against the frightening Adama Traore, Tahith Chong growing into the game and commuting the Wolves fullbacks into making fouls in dangerous areas. Mason Greenwood showed yet again why comparisons are being made with former striker-in-chief, Robin Van Persie with his brilliant and composed link up play, although he couldn't add 'stew to the rice' with a decent shot on target.

IN THE END, that our goalkeeper won the man of the match award and we had no shot on target, tells the story of the evening.
The 'Ultimate search' for the first goal(not even win) of 2020 continues
