Manchester United finally won their first game of 2020 and indeed their first game of the decade with a convincing flogging of Norwich city at Old Trafford.
Here are five things ManUtdNaijaFM learnt from this win:
1. MR 200
United's 'whiz-kid', Marcus 'Rashidi-Yekini', celebrated his 22nd birthday recently and today played his 200th game for United. He marked the milestone with 2 goals!!
He has been smoking hot in front of goal this season, already surpassing his best ever tally. 200 'Gboza' for the 22yr old who has now scored 64 goals and made 26 assists for United.
2. JONAH LINGARD
Despite not even being in the line-up today, Jesse 'Awilo' Lingard still deserves a full point. His absence was felt.
Just seeing the line-up without him provoked smiles and confidence. His replacement, Juan 'Bankole' Mata was brilliant and had two assists, more than he managed in a whole year!!!.....the joy that comes with Jonah off the boat
3. AN UNFORTUNATE 'YAKUBU'
Brandon William had another 'Chivitas-tic' performance at left back. He ran the left flank from 'north to south' very swiftly and confidently, reminiscent of the days of Rafael da Silva.
He almost added 'palmwine to his 'sweet suya' performance with a goal, but unfortunately he 'Yakubu-ed' the ball!!
4. WOZA!!!!
Our Robin Van Persie junior, Mason Greenwood, makes scoring look easy with his deadly left foot. Each time he holds the ball facing the goal post, the only thing goalkeepers hear is 'Woza!', and the ball is dancing 'one corner' in the net.
He came in today, one shot, one goal!! Super Mason.
5. FRED-MATIC COLLABO
The pair picked up where they left in the second half against Manchester city last week. In the absence of Pogba and McTominay, they seem to be Olè's best option at the moment.
They blended well like 'corn and pear' in the midfield and completely subdued Norwich.
IN THE END, it was a convincing win, but we need consistency.
Kudos to Rashford who now becomes the 3rd youngest player to reach 200 games for United behind Ryan Giggs and George Best.
GLORY, GLORY MAN UNITED.......OLUWA IS INVOLVED.
