TOTTENHAM 2-0 UNITED: 5 Matters Arising From The Wembley Wahala

Wembley 'San-San' was finally poured into Manchester United's 'Garri' on the last day of January which had been going so smoothly.
A goal which appeared to have been scored from home and a Phil 'Osaze' Jones own goal ensured United didn't end January with smiles after all.

Here are 5 Matters arising from this Wembley 'Wahala':

1. 'THINGS FALL APART'
Like the popular novel by the great Chinua Achebe, United got shocked after the first 'all-of-a-sudden' goal, and after the own goal, United fell apart.

Some fans had to stand up and count the Tottenham players to ensure they were still only 11....We got completely outplayed today.

2. SIDE TO SIDE, THEN LOB.
Again, the worry about the 'lob-the-ball-to-Fellaini/Lukaku' tactic which José 'Uchenna' Mourinho has deployed consistently this season was brought to the fore.

All that was at play today was De-Gea to Smalling, sideways to Jones/Valencia, them 'Boom!'-- lob the ball to Lukaku.....'Dazol!'

The boss needs to have plan B, C, D and even E for attack.

3. WRONG SUB DECISIONS
With the game going 'South', José subbed off Jesse 'Awilo' Lingard and Paul 'Ikenna' Pogba.

Yes, Pogba was having a terrible day at the office but taking him off for 'Oga Fela' in holding midfield in a game where creativity was lacking?? 'Habaa' boss...

Even José 'Uchenna' Mourinho's village people were angered and reacted after 3mins by striking 'Oga Fela' with a knee injury.

4. ALEXIS 'BALOGUN' SANCHEZ
The new 'Awoof' signing had a day to forget at Wembley. Whether it was the booing throughout the match from the Tottenham fans or the whole Paparazzi thing that got to him is something we don't know.

The new number 7 had a bad day at the office but we can't cry over spilled 'kunu'....In Naija, we say "Water wey dem take make eba no fit return".

Better days ahead!

5. MARTIAL SHOULD NEVER PLAY ON THE RIGHT
It has been tried, it has been tested and confirmed a failure.

It appears the boss is the only one yet to realise that asking Martial to deputise on the right wing is as good as tasking an 'I better pass my neighbour' generator with carrying pressing iron.

The young French man struggled through the first half in the position and when he was switched, it was already too late as fatigue and frustration had set in.

IN THE END, Our January cruise which had seen us win all matches without conceding any goal ended disappointingly. Something needs to be done about Mourinho vs the 'Big-6'. We can't continue like this...'Our mumu-don-do'.
