With club football set to resume this weekend after the international break, #ManUtdNaijaFM examines some huge matters arising at the Old Trafford.
(1)THE RETURN OF 'CRUTCH-ester' UNITED
'Oga Fela' has written his name on the injury list with a knee ligament strain according to the Belgian FA.
With the list also including Marcos 'Odegbami' Rojo, Pa 'Zlatan' Ekwueme Ibrahimovic and Paul 'Ikenna' Pogba, we can only hope we are not having a De ja vu of last season, where we had a team so depleted that José 'Uchenna' Mourinho had to call on our JSS-3 academy boys help us play Crystal Palace.
Also recall that last season, nearly one-third of the team celebrated the Europa League triumph in crutches and bandages.
José 'Uchenna' Mourinho needs to be a little more cautious with key players, and hand rests at every opportunity.
Honestly, hot tears will roll down my cheek if I see Matic or Lukaku limp off the field at this point.
(2) HENRIKH 'NWOKEOMA' MHKITARYAN
On paper it's been a scintillating season for Magic Mhki, with the Armenian already registering 5 assists and 1 goal in the season so far.
.
However, it's not been so rosy for the Armenian since the beginning of September, with Mhki developing a habit of doing "willy willy" in games, disappearing for long spells and then popping up at the end of the game with an assist or a goal as the case may be.
Lately, he has been guilty of losing possession countless times, and holding the ball for too long with lots of free players around waiting to be released.
He needs to buckle up, before the boss sends him for 'deliverance' in 'Bench Ministry' again.
(3)LUKAKU AND THE ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT.
It's been a stellar start to a United career for Romelu 'Timaya' Lukaku, with the big Belgian shutting up his bad 'bele' people and all the 'babalawo' powers trying to hinder his progress, with 11goals in 10 appearances for United thus far.
It is however worrying that he seems to channel the 'Yakubu Aiyegbeni' spirit at crucial points in United's games, missing clear cut chances.
We hope this habit dies fast with the big games coming up where one big chance to win it for United could be all he gets in 90mins.
(4) HERRERA-MATIC COMBO
With 'Oga Fela' joining Paul 'Ikenna' Pogba on United's treatment table at the moment, it seems the obvious midfield choice pair for the next few weeks will be that of Nemanja 'Agu' Matic and Ander 'Akinbode' Herrera.
Matic has enjoyed success with Pogba and Fellaini, however it is worrying to note that United have won only 1 of the 3 matches where Matic and Herrera started alongside each other, with United's only dropped points of the EPL season coming against Stoke, and the UEFA Supercup loss to Real Madrid.
There is a strong belief among the United faithful however that the warrior of Old Trafford, Ander 'Akinbode' Herrera will step up to the plate and finally make his mark, with first team opportunities aplenty to impress.
We look forward to seeing United deal with these matters appropriately and continue their FANTA-bulous start to the season, with more CHIVITA-stic performances from newly crowned United player of the month, Anthony 'Ikechukwu' Martial and others.
OPINION CORNER
Let's have your say on any of these matters.
GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED.
