BURNLEY 0-2 MAN UTD. UNITED BROKE A 41-YEAR OLD "CURSE" & WHAT WE LEARNT.

Manchester United maintained the tempo on the top-four battle by comfortably slotting 2 - goals past Burnley, while keeping a clean sheet. Here are Five (5) things we learnt today.

MUFC

1. UNITED LOST €10 MILLION TODAY.
While fans were thrilled with Martial's well composed goal, the United board had to pull out their
cheque books. Martial scored his 25th goal for Manchester United today, which triggered an agreement in his sign-on clause: A payment of €10 million to AS MONACO.A very expensive goal indeed!!.......He had a good game, iced with a goal and an assist; his best in a long while.

2. IT TOOK FORTY-ONE(41) LONG YEARS.
Burnley's home ground is named Turf Moor. Indeed,it has been a 'Tough' ground  for United as the last time United scored a goal against Burnley at Turf Moor was in April 1976- exactly 41 years ago.

3. HE SHOULD HAVE TAKEN THE LAST "MOLUE" GOING TO CHINA.
It's always sad to see a Legend stuggle. Wayne Rooney started today, and despite scoring his 251st goal, he had a torrid time. He was complete shadow of himself today- probably from match 'rust'. But I think it's time Wayne takes a bow and joins the China 'Molue' or train.

4. GOOD SQUAD ROTATION, GOOD TACTICAL CHANGE.
Following the exhausting 2-hour game against Anderlecht on Thursday, Jose 'Uchenna' Mourinho rotated his squad, giving Martial the No 9 role and Wayne Rooney a surprising winger role. This was good as it afforded 'Wizkid' Marcus Rashidi and Mikhi the much desired rest with Manchester City game in mind.
However, the decision to allow Pogba play 90 minutes was poor. If he is injured, then we will have a serious crisis at hand.

5. ERIC 'OLUSEGUN' BAILLY PLAYED WITH DOUBLE BOOTS .
The powerful and solid Ivorian was in his usual No-Nosense self today, but this time appeared to play as though he was covering for his injured partner Rojo.  He was everywhere; blocking, intercepting, tackling, hassling, and. ....in summary he was perhaps the MAN OF THE MATCH.

.....IN THE END, it was a good game, even though there was evidence of accumulated fatigue in lads. They deserve some Kudos,  and we hope Paul 'Ikenna' Pogba  is not injured. Up next, our Noisy neighbours; SAME TIME, SAME STATION, ON THURSDAY.
