It is no longer a rumour, it is no longer a bad omen, it is not a nightmare, it's official - Manchester United's Belgian defensive midfielder (abi attacking midfielder sef, maybe just midfield header) has signed a contract extension keeping him at the club till the summer of 2018.
The 'elbow Lord' who has faced a lot of scrutiny from United fans all over, due to being a constant image reminder of the failures of David Moyes regime scored his first goal of the season in the EFL cup semi final against Hull city, much to the delight of Jose 'Uchenna' Mourinho who has kept faith in him through thin and thin(to be honest) this season.
On a day Morgan Schneiderlin completes his move away from the club, with Bastian Schweinsteiger still being reduced from Bayern and Germany midfield legend to Manchester United reserves, Marouanne signs a 'vote of confidence' contract.
The sudden love developed by the boss towards Fellaini which has driven him to clear all his competition for midfield slots is astounding, a love which has seem him slowly clear his path to the first team by eliminating possible come competition in Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger.
This just makes me start to think the gods of football are punishing me personally for all the clear goals I conceded as a 'Naija kid', playing our beloved 'Monkey post' and protested till they got ruled out for 'over stone'.
All the same, we hope this shocker is somehow a sign of wonderful things to come for United faithfuls all over the world. Congratulations to Marouanne Fellaini, we of course wish him the very best as he continues his United adventure.
